One thing worth mentioning is probs that it makes no real sense for "troll" to be like a respectable, direct translation of whatever the Alternian word for troll is, so I'm assuming that "troll" is kind of like a short, slangy, negative word for the other side in a war, like the equivalent of "hun" for Germans – not exactly a slur but also not what you'd call them to their face unless you were being rude, and if you were being polite you'd just say Alternian, probably!
