JUNPEI "IGNITION" IORI
The Trailblazers' resident ascended fanboy. Or one of them, perhaps. He's from a 'normal' (if … unpleasant) home, and has been fascinated by superheroes since he was a kid. If you're a big name in the hero business, he's likely followed your activities at some point.
He's a cocky, silly goofball, though one with a lot of hidden insecurities, but he does at least know when to be serious on missions.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF:
If you keep an eye on the up and coming superheroes, there's an off chance you might've spotted his codename: he's very new to the business, but he doesn't shy away from the limelight if he gets the chance. He just hasn't… had many chances yet. If you're in any way connected with the Trailblazers, too.
As far as his civilian life goes, he's pretty social around school, if that's even a thing that's relevant here (that's a point, what kind of schooling do these kids get?), and he plays MMOs: anyone up for Innocent Sin Online?
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: Mostly, if you're in the Trailblazers: he's been with the team for a few months. He lives at the dorms because a) from out of town b) BAAAAD home life. If you're a Trailblazer girl, he has probably dropped some kind of cheesy flirty line in your direction… don't worry, though, that's as far as he'll take it. Also, he was rescued by a super when he first tried to do the hero thing himself, who talked him into registering: who is this mysterious person? Any of you?
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: I haven't really got any set plans for this boy. Just following my nose. Perhaps something that'll shake his view on what he's gotten himself into, but that's for the future...
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: I can't think of anything yet.
ANYTHING ELSE: He's a baseball fiend! He'd have joined a team at school if he thought he could get away with it. Anyone for a game? He's also likely to propose other chances to be social where he can.
Also, apologies for his cheeseball-ness. And possibly the state of the HQ kitchens on occasion.

The cold shoulder Katniss gave his flirtations was probably so frigid his flame powers probably went out for like five minutes. It's probably been sort of awkward since then.

Their present state probably depends how he interacted with her after that, lol.

He'd know not to try anything else, at least... (...unless she was looking really good on any particular day. Which might get a compliment.)
Otherwise, he respects her general having-her-business-together-ness. Which is apparently a word.
Might be a spot of envy towards her for managing it, but at the same time, he knows that it's illogical because she only got there through having been through all the crap she has...

cynthia probably laughed a lot at his awful pickup line, but she wants to keep this STRICTLY PROFESSIONAL. just like superheroes should be. professional

When he's not being a dumb flirt (and honestly, he probably mostly eased off once he realised nothing's happening (mostly)), he likely feeds straight into her excitement and big plans: he's kind of prone to them himself.

i can actually see cynthia going straight to him when shes got a Big Idea, because she feels like he will be willing to go along with it, at least more than the other trailblazers. do you think it'd make sense for them to sort of have a PARTNERS IN CRIME relationship? except with silly things instead of felonies hahaha

Partners in shenanigans? That totally works. XD He is not known for having the Best Ideas in the world.

if he knows superhero lore he probably knows at least some of the stark family drama!!! it's not a good idea to bring this up with jon (or any stark)

Hehe, yeah, he's heard of 'em. Envies Jon a bit for having them, too, considering his own family is the exact opposite.
He probably screwed up and mentioned something he shouldn't at some point or other, spent a while going 'what did I do wrong', but eventually manned up and apologized.

well jon wouldn't yell at him or anything, he'd just give him really curt, unfriendly answers and make kind of a mad face

Nepeta's been on the Trailblazers for about a year, so maybe Junpei saw her out and about when he was keeping tabs. She's also keen on Superhero-Shipping, and will get into arguments with people about who is meant to be together forever if that's something she can get Junpei to talk about lmao.

All flirting with her will seemingly fall on deaf ears but she knows full well what he's doing.

He might not really be into the shipping in the same way she is but she could probably get an argument or two out of him now and then. XD

I'd be worried if people were into it as much as she is.

I'm sure they'll have discussions about superheroes regardless :3
