HEY GANG

A good few people have had stuff going on recently that has left them feeling out of the loop or not sure what’s going on – so we thought it would be a good idea to have a meme for clarifying what has been going on with our characters. Hopefully this will be a good way to get a look at what’s been going on with the rest of the game as well as to get a better handle on what your own characters have been doing by writing it up.

If you’re just plain lost, feel free to just say you’re not sure what your character’s been doing and invite other people to offer suggestions (involving their own characters or otherwise). You’re also encouraged to reply to other people’s characters with more general plot or CR suggestions.

TO PARTICIPATE, fill out the following for each of your characters:

Katniss Everdeen is the girl from the future, who is currently part of the Trailblazers. Constantly bewildered about her place in the universe. Is simultaneously desperate to remain to LA and desperate to return to her loved ones in the future.
LAST SEEN: Punching Finnick in the face at Sea World.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: IDK probably busting people out of the creepy cyborg hell spires with Karkat and Jon Stark.
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Existential dread. Beyond that, I have no idea.
IC GOALS: ??? Make up with Finnick for punching his face, maybe.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: I've been neglecting Katniss for way too long, and since I just came back from watching Mockingjay Part 1, I figure now is as good of time as any to change that. Katniss needs her turn. Also, for the future plot, I'm intending on having her future self come back to the present possibly.
ANYTHING ELSE: She is very attached to Jon Stark and Karkat Vantas, and is blessedly lacking in romantic tension with either of them. BUT WILL THAT CHANGE?

Queen of the magical pacific island nation of Equestria, Celestia is also a talented sorceress and bearer of the legendary Sun Medallion, which grants her immortality and an array of sun-based powers. She was a founding member of Alpha Force way back in 1964, and is currently its leader. Really big on the power of friendship.
LAST SEEN: Attempting to comfort Steven Universe in the absence of his usual mums.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Over the last 50 years Celestia has accomplished many tremendous things, like helping to deter multiple alien invasions, defeating numerous supervillains, sealing monstrously powerful energy beings in pocket dimensions, thwarting disasters both natural and unnatural – if you can think of a ridiculous superhero thing for someone to have done, she has probably done it at some point (although the threats she deals with tend towards the massive in scope, rather than street-level – at least things that threaten the entire city, if not the entire nation, world, or universe, rather than individual muggings). However, over the course of the game Celestia has not been up to a whole lot of on-screen business.
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Trying to stop Lina Inverse and Wanda Maximoff from blowing up Alpha Tower, mostly
IC GOALS: To continue protecting the world from any significant threats! To encourage everyone around her to value friendship. To ensure the safety and prosperity of Equestria as best she can when not actively present in the country. To look after this kid her old buddies the Crystal Gems left with her. Also, to find out what led to the disappearances of her teammates Druid, Fissure and Zoom.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Celestia is a fairly static character, being as ageless and benevolent as she is, and I don't really have an arc in mind for her or anything – most of the things I want to do with her are more along the lines of encouraging people to write her letters about what they've learned about friendship than significant character moments. I'd like to do more with her mischievous tendencies (remember when in canon she invited all of her student's friends to a serious & important party in the full knowledge that they'd completely wreck it and traumatise half the attendants purely because she thought it would liven things up), but don't have any specific ideas at the moment!
If anybody needs an authority figure for anything, though, or someone to Impart some Wisdom, Celestia is your magic sun queen.

Alternian refugee turned TRIDENT lab experiment turned CONDOR ward turned Decepticon fugitive. He is becoming increasingly anti-establishment, and increasingly attached to Knock Out and Breakdown as his weird robot parents.
LAST SEEN: Getting drunk with Knock Out, following Megatron's wacky Orion Pax adventures.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Breaking out of TRIDENT imprisonment, and then running away from CONDOR. We've got a wild child here.
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Probably just hanging out with the Decepticons following the Great Robot Meltdown of 2014. Sporadically being gay at Karkat.
IC GOALS: To gather power and influence off the grid. To establish self sufficiency. TO GET REVENGE ON HIS OPPRESSORS, MEGATRON STYLE.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Presently I'm sort of going the route of having Sollux break bad, as it were, but I don't know that it'll keep on that path. Having Breakdown and Knock Out as dads isn't the best influence.
ANYTHING ELSE: Always in favour of having him get in the shit.

The West Coast Trailblazers' angry, stubby Token Alien Friend. Karkat came to Earth to escape persecution on his home planet only to have half his friends die on the way and then find out he was the second coming of the troll messiah. He has no superpowers and is kind of sullen about it.
LAST SEEN: Getting accosted by his ancestor somewhere on the edge of town and ending up awkwardly hugging him, or something.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: During the run of the game Karkat has been kidnapped only once, so far, which is probably some kind of record for him. In fact he has gotten to rescue his friends two whole other times, although on balance it turns out this isn't really any more fun than getting kidnapped himself, especially when the reason they're getting kidnapped is to lure you into a trap? Who knew.
Most of what he's been doing besides that has been being stressed out by the other trolls in his life and trying to get them not to kill either him, or other people. Thanks Signless. Thanks Sollux. You're both pals.
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Recently Karkat has been a little bit less reclusive on account of Signless no longer being out to murder him, but he is as grouchy as ever. He is a bit more committed to the whole revolutionary thing now, though, than he has been in the past – he's kind of been going back and forth on that for a while. Not that he's talking to anyone about it; he still thinks that whole thing is kind of embarrassing.
IC GOALS: Remaining alive for long enough to at least make an effort at starting a revolution on his homeworld.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: I WANT MORE SHIPPING DRAMA. The ships don't have to involve Karkat. I mean, they can do, but I'm equally thirsty for him having opinions about romances that are absolutely none of his business
ANYTHING ELSE: NAH

Former villain, present hobo. Was resurrected and brainwashed by the Condesce for the purpose of assassinating Karkat Vantas. Ran around doing crimes for a while until he eventually managed to shrug off his conditioning enough to get captures by CONDOR during a failed murder attempt. Later broke out of CONDOR jail with Starscream, who abandoned him in the wild. Managed to get back to LA and has been living in holes being sad ever since.
LAST SEEN: Crying on Karkat.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Kidnapping three members of the Trailblazers and holding them hostage in an attempt to lure Karkat out and kill him. It didn't work.
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Crying and having small emotional breakthroughs.
IC GOALS: To figure out what to do besides being dead.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Mostly Signless needs to find some kind of direction, some kind of foot hold to work with. He's basically a fugitive at the moment, and has nowhere to go.
ANYTHING ELSE: The Disciple was dropped so I'm still working out what to do with that. I'm presently thinking "captured by the Empire" as a way to give him some purpose.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF CHARACTER: Thirteen foot tall asshole alien jet robot variously. Thin, kinda pointy and screechy. He's the second in command of the Decepticons and an overall obnoxious villain type who likes to get his filthy little claws into all kinds of shit. He has no hobbies except plotting different ways to seize power and advance his position in galactic society and watching cat videos on the internet. Has no friends. LAST SEEN: Finally being freed from jail after an incredibly lengthy stay in the slammers of three different prisons. He's very thrilled about this, except Megatron has him doing piddly awful little chores just to fuck with him and see how long it takes for him to snap. Nice.

SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: (“significant”) (“accomplishments”) EVERYTHING HE DOES IS SIGNIFICANT. No uh. Not true but he does have... quite a storied past in Cap H. This includes: getting separated from his fellow decepticons while fleeing from battle and winding up on earth, getting wounded so that he can no longer transform and then being stuck in jet mode as a result, having to rely on humans to fix that injury, losing a very important artifact to a sea lion, fighting an 18 year old cyborg and ripping her arm off to regain the respect of his boss, lying to his boss excessively about various things, hate-fucking his boss whenever he can get the opportunity, getting kidnapped and horribly physically and mentally fucked up by a vicious alien hating AI, trying to pull of an eXTREMELY POORLY THOUGHT OUT coup, landing himself in jail pretty much from IRL July-November. He's kind of an extreme trouble maker, what can I say.

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Lately, in un-threaded news, Starscream has mostly been doing shitty errands for Megatron in the hopes of earning his trust back after trying to kill him and defecting for a while. Nothing much more exciting than that. He got to go on a field trip to a foreign country and loom ominously behind Megatron alongside Soundwave. That was pretty exciting. Highlight of his month right there.

IC GOALS: Right now Starscream's main thing is getting his old job and responsibilities back. He's trying to figure out where he stands with Megatron and the Decepticons, too. If it seems like I'm mentioning Megatron a lot it's because Starscream's the kind of guy that's driven by denial of his weaknesses and problems, and man does he have a massive inferiority complex over the big M there. It literally consumes his existence. That poorly thought out coup basically came as a result of him being really fed up with Megatrons GAY EMOTIONS and faltering temporarily as a leader, so he's kind of testing the waters to see where he should go from there. After being separated from the Decepticons for so long, he knows sticking with them is the safest bet for him... the real question is if he's going to be content to let things stay as they are, or if he's gonna start stirring up shit again. I'm hoping that this grimdark future event that's upcoming will give him some shit to think about, in terms of finding himself or w/e.

OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Right now, what I really need to do is cement Starscream as a semi-trusted and efficient partner with Megatron again... which is probably going to have to come from saving Megatron's life or something like that. The Decepticons need an active enemy or smth aside from the Autobots, someone that's actually a considerable match for them, an outside force that the two of them can unite against. My ultimate LONG TERM GOAL is to do the extremely difficult to pull of sort of "redemption" route with him. Y'know... not a total turn around, but basically come to a point where he realizes how awful and unfulfilling his life is and he has no one but himself to blame for it.

ANYTHING ELSE: Honestly I'm open to all kinds of threads and CR, if you have a character that you want to interact with Starscream I will work out some way to make it happen for you.

18 year old vigilante empath/psychic. Pretty anti-social, not a big people person.

LAST SEEN: Working with a rag-tag band of vigilantes to stop the musical plague and take down Swan Song.

SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Honestly the swan song thing is the most notable. Besides that he got... kidnapped by cyborgs? they didn't do anything to him, fortunately.

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Probably waffling over joining the trailblazers. His involvement in this game thus far has been minimal and I'd like to change that.

IC GOALS: UUUUUHHHHHhhhhhhh. He doesn't have many goals, which is the problem. He's trying to find his feet and decide if he wants to go the full hero or not. Milly is really the only person he trusts in any capacity and if she's joining the trailblazers, he will likely follow.

OOC GOALS & IDEAS: I do want to get him into the trailblazers. Mainly I need people who are willing to try and get close to him, butt heads with him, go on missions where they have to learn to work together so that he can grow as a person and learn not to hate other people so much etc etc. You're gonna have to be OK with your character possibly getting stuck in the middle of dealing with Neku being manipulated/jerked around by Joshua.

ANYTHING ELSE: I'M DESPERATE TO MAKE THIS LOSER WORK so if you think you have a character who's really tenacious and good for dealing with shitty teens and being a positive influence on his life plz plz plz hit me up.

Despite this, he remains the most over-the-top, melodramatic and full of himself space robot you will ever meet. Was forged in the pits of Kaon.
LAST SEEN: Negotiating with Sovereign; giving Starscream a second chance.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Since crash landing in the desert outside LA, Megatron has: briefly convinced his amnesiac arch-enemy that the Autobots are evil; gotten in a fight with the Autobots in the middle of LA; sung more songs than he would really like to have sung; made enemies with CONDOR, TRIDENT and Mintaka industries; admirably refrained from seriously injuring any of his shitty underlings.
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Megatron is currently trying to find firmer footing on this world, on the basis that as long as Optimus Prime remains here then he needs to as well – especially if Unicron is headed this way, which he is. Thanks to Shockwave, his battleship, the Conquest, is currently operational, drifting around Earth's skies, and the Decepticons also have access to a space bridge link to Cybertron, which gives them a bit of an advantage when it comes to supplies, but the Autobots are in a better position when it comes to allies...
He's trying really hard to pretend that his interactions with Orion Pax have not made him question what he's doing in any way, but, lmao
IC GOALS: Destroy the Autobots, bend the universe to his will, look really cool doing it
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: hell fucking yeah

The leader of the Autobots. When he first arrived on Earth he had amnesia due to Megatron stealing the Matrix of Leadership, but after being a younger version of himself for months he has since regained his memories and a number of psychological problems with them. Presently he is dealing with having an awkward combination of bother personalities, as he struggles to keep his team together and also prepare Earth to deal with Unicron's oncoming onslaught.
LAST SEEN: Tolerating the Trailblazer visiting the robot HQ. Being incapable of healthily processing emotional trauma.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Participating in the ROBOT THROW DOWN at City Hall, unlocking the Romance option with Arcee in the Robot Dating Simulator, regaining his memories, kicking the shit out of Megatron, and then fucking Megatron while also kicking the shit out of Megatron. (Two separate events.)
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Struggling emotionally, while attempting to put on a brave face.
IC GOALS: Settle things with Arcee. (???) Stop Unicron. (???) Deciding whether or not he needs to die to accomplish these things. (???)
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Nothing in particular, to be honest, Optimus has been in the spotlight a lot lately. There are some people I'd like to have him catch up with though.
ANYTHING ELSE: I got pretty burnt out on him at the end there, BUT THAT IS NO LONGER THE CASE. I am all about Optimus Prime.

LAST SEEN: Bothering Newt about paperwork, temporarily babysitting Steven Universe, sending extremely lengthy emails
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Helped the Autobots 'rescue' Orion Pax from the robot AI, fought the Decepticons in the battle over the Force of Solus Prime in downtown LA, negotiated with CONDOR to have the Autobots recognized as benign, Assisted in rescuing Orion Pax (again), Arrested Rodimus and Starscream.
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Working on moving the Autobots to their new HQ and sorting out logistical issues there, talking with CONDOR guys a lot, probably ordering Drift and Rodimus around.
IC GOALS: Finish establishing things with CONDOR, and get to work tracking down the Decepticons.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Ultra Magnus needs to get out more, cause so far he has basically just been yelling at the other Autobots and being stressed out.
ANYTHING ELSE: Nothing I can think of.

Former Trailblazer, current probationary CONDOR agent/weapon, experimental military robot with a problem for authority. Holds the coveted position of Smallest Robot in LA.
LAST SEEN: Fighting the Iron Dragon (Gajeel) in a scientific office building somewhere.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Helped the Trailblazers rescue Karkat, Fought some crystal hatchlings at the Trailblazer dorms, Became a mind controlled servant of the robot AI.
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Following the AI fiasco Metabee and the other medabots were recalled for upgrades and testing, and he was recently released back to CONDOR custody.
IC GOALS: Right now Metabee's main goal is to re-establish himself in the LA superhero community, and start making a name for himself as a solo hero.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Really just looking to work Metabee back into the game and get some new CR with him.
ANYTHING ELSE: Nothing coming to mind.

Endlessly sunny Trailblazer/Musical Theatre Actor who may or may not be infamous for some generally harmless but definitely illegal bad behaviour.
LAST SEEN: Fighting with Tommy ha ha... but also hosting a party at his and Chris' house.
SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Probably hosting parties and flirting with different boys with varying levels of "success."
WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: He's keeping busy! When he's not at rehearsal or whatever Trailblazer obligations he has, he's working out, or hanging out with Tommy, or making sure that Chris is not dying.
IC GOALS: Get laid, probably. Land a lead role??? Be a good person??? But mostly, get laid. Also, make up with Tommy, which may or may not lead to getting laid.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: I HAVE NOTHING IN MIND I would like to do more party logs if people are into that. Having him make more friends in the Trailblazers would be great, and have him do more actual superhero-ing since that's pretty important to him.
ANYTHING ELSE: I THINK I'VE COVERED IT ALL.

ARTEMIS CLARKE

An android superhero from the future; kind of twitchy and suspicious because being an android is A Bad Thing where (when?) she's from and she's used to keeping it a secret as much as possible.

LAST SEEN: Trying to talk Signless out of being sad and listless while being uncomfortably reminded of her own reaction back when she first developed a sense of morality.

SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Once she accidentally chased Ramir through a shopping mall

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Wandering around downtown L.A. being a hobo, patrolling occasionally to try and keep fighting crime, hanging out with her one friend

IC GOALS: Probably figure out how to get back to the future, for one thing, but in the meantime she wants to kind of get her footing as far as living here and stuff - that is to say, actually get some connections, stuff like that. Unfortunately the fact that she is also a twitchy loser who trusts hardly anyone kind of gets in the way of that.

OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Well eventually she's going to get eaten by Unicron and turned evil. Other than that, I would love for her to do some more superhero things and possibly accidentally put herself in positions where it's really difficult to pretend not to be a robot. PLEASE MAKE MY ANDROID CHILD UNCOMFORTABLE.

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Black Ghost has been laying low working on 'cleaning up' TRIDENT's organization to stop all the numerous failures that have been happening, and keeping an eye on some of the new villain activity in the city.
IC GOALS: Make sure everyone remembers TRIDENT is a supervillain powerhouse and notable threat, continue his long term plan of sowing war and violence across the world in order to profit from it.
OOC GOALS & IDEAS: It's been kind of difficult to get Black Ghost engaged in stuff since he tends to work in the background most of the time. I'm also hoping to get more stuff going with his alter ego and see if that helps.
ANYTHING ELSE: He's going to be involved in the second part of the future plot as the resident rebel anti-hero jaded uncle and fixing everyone's new apocalyptic robot limbs.

SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Reported really poorly on scary jail stuff, was present for the conclusion to the MUSICAL MYSTERY, either quit or was fired from working for the Times (possibly both at once), helpfully showed Knock Out his inability to injure humans.

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Continuing to wander around and pester people mostly.

IC GOALS: Become a FAMOUS ONLINE NEWS REPORTER!! YEAH!! Also talk to more robots and superheroes in general, that would be awesome.

OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Gonna be involved in the upcoming time travel plot; besides that, she should get kidnapped and stuff more, she's a reporter in a superhero game it's basically her job. Also: Apex Armor one day plz.

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: She's started working at Newt's clinic, so mostly that, and generally getting used to L.A.

IC GOALS: See: Dinosaurs. That's his main goal really, but more short-term he wants to try messing up some heroes' reputations and stuff to get them out of the way some.

OOC GOALS & IDEAS: He's going to team up with other villains to release horrible mutants upon L.A. at various points, so that's gonna be a thing. Foiled plans are great too, and I definitely want to do some stuff with him pretending to be the benevolent CEO guy he claims to be.

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Wrecking things, getting in fights, generally being unpleasant.

IC GOALS: He basically has no goals, it's awful. There might be some tenuous concept of maybe getting a bit more of a reputation as an actual significant threat to humanity, but mostly he's pretty aimless.

OOC GOALS & IDEAS: One day, eventually, he'll probably finally have it ground into his brain that he's a piece of crud and nothing he's done has helped even him, and then he's going to have to dig himself out of the pit of terribleness that he's trapped himself in. Until then, now is the time for him to dig that pit. The only real indication of his potential for non-awfulness that is likely to come up for a while is if anyone finds out that in bad-end future he turned on Sovereign and died trying to save someone else.

ANYTHING ELSE: Seriously though this guy is an utter tool

Leading contender for the title of "world's fightiest cyborg." Very serious and work-oriented about 90% of the time. Used to be an adorable dork and giant nerd. Super into killing bad guys for the greater good and/or revenge.

LAST SEEN: Helping Milly take the steps toward registering by bringing her to see Newt.

SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: There was that time 5 years ago he "single-handedly" took out a TRIDENT cell. He had help but whether anyone believes he had the help of a guy who supposedly died two years earlier and a robot ninja is up for debate. Honestly he doesn't do a whole lot 9f noteworthy stuff - thus is the life of someone who specialises in espionage and assassination tbh.

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Training up Milly even though he has no idea what he's doing (actual heroes please help,) doing missions here and there. Basically living in CONDOR's training facilities.

IC GOALS: Vengeance, making sure Newt doesn't work himself to death, helping Milly, being stronger, etc. He's also wondering if he should investigate Baelheit right now.

OOC GOALS & IDEAS: Query: did anyone work for CONDOR between 3 and 6 years ago, because I'd love for him to have more old friends to be like "woah what happened." New friends who are either also super into beating things up and/or are fun and patient enough to drag him out of his... Whatever this thing he's got going is. I also feel like I'd like to have more serious plots with him but idk what yet.
ANYTHING ELSE: He's such a nerd deep down ok the first time he met his ex they argued about King Kong for ages.

LAST SEEN: This poor nerd has been v. neglected, so probably buying Ramir lunch as payment to break him into his own office or helping Maxxie find his way out of a CONDOR building. Also hosting Trailblazers movie night as soon as I get that post up.

SIGNIFICANT PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Becoming a fully qualified therapist at 20?

WHAT THEY’VE BEEN DOING LATELY: Familiarising himself with the Trailblazers - either in person or by reading their files, whatever. Setting up an office that's as out of CONDOR'S sight as he can make it. Trying not to freak out because he hates big cities.

IC GOALS: ATM he's trying to figure out how best to reach out to no -registered hero youth bc they need a lot of help ok.

OOC GOALS & IDEAS: This nerd needs friends or he'll die - fair warning though, he's very withdrawn and adept at pushing people away. I was also thinking about a later plot revolving around his powers coming from his biological dad who is literally a nightmare demon, but baby steps.

ANYTHING ELSE: He will literally throw himself into a fight with a bad guy with no hesitation. Terry is awful at fighting.
