No gimmicky dinosaur setup this time round, since the game is actually rolling now! If you've got a character you want to try out in this setting, make a thread with them on here, and if you don't, see if you can tag other people with your characters.

Test drive threads can be anything you like, in-person or online, just make it clear which one your thread is when you start it. Make sure to put the name of the character and what canon they're from in the subject, so people know who they are and where they come from.

Can I use test drive threads as samples for my app?

The tiny, dark-haired alien takes some time to notice her tail, lost in thought, but once she does, the results are explosive. "You have two seconds to explain yourself before I exsanguinate you!" she snaps, spinning around. She looks perfectly willing to do so with her own stubby fingers.

They stop when the alien turns, but it's at a leisurely pace and not a movement made out of surprise. Their features are still very much concealed in the relative darkness.

"I'm looking for information," he says simply. His English is surprisingly good for a troll, and his accent as minimal as one can expect with the physical vocal features of the species.

The other alien may see more of those features than the troll imagines; her huge eyes reflect the dim lighting like a cat's. Despite her lack of height - she's three feet tall at the most - Nivata glares up at the troll with absolutely no fear. Whoever she is, she thinks herself a more than a match for an adult troll. "Information? From following strangers at night? Don't insult me." Something darker than the shadows around them begins to gather around one of her hands.

His horns seem small for a troll's, and his height is on the short side too, even if he far outmatches a tiny asura. She'll almost catch his expression with her eyes, which is one of stern but wavering patience.

He doesn't react to her beginning to work her magic, but to hold his ground.

"You don't belong here," he says. "The place the humans keep you could give clues as to where other that are different might stay."

Nivata sneers, thin lips lifting away from sharp seadweller teeth. "And you couldn't introduce yourself and ask? It isn't like I've been keeping it secret." The blackness around her hand billows out, coalescing into a shadowy cloud. Six glowing blue eyes open, blinking, but the creature doesn't attack quite yet.

The troll continues to stare her down, unmoved by threats of violence. He watches the new creature take shape with muted interest.

"Are you really going to attack a man who has not raised a hand against you?" he asks.

"Don't tempt me," Nivata growls. It's not a joke, either; the shadowy cloud drifts back and forth ominously under her command. "In case you didn't know, following a stranger home in the dark is normally considered a threat."

[sufferist]

"I hold no ill will against you," he says. "I'm simply trying to learn the makeup of this city. I have no interest in turning this into a fight."

"You should have thought of that earlier," Nivata tells the troll bluntly. "I'd start backing away if I were you." Her shadow cloud slowly drifts toward him, six glowing blue eyes flaring in threat.
