TEST DRIVE MEME #1

No gimmicky dinosaur setup this time round, since the game is actually rolling now! If you've got a character you want to try out in this setting, make a thread with them on here, and if you don't, see if you can tag other people with your characters.

Test drive threads can be anything you like, in-person or online, just make it clear which one your thread is when you start it. Make sure to put the name of the character and what canon they're from in the subject, so people know who they are and where they come from.

Can I use test drive threads as samples for my app?

Can I decide a test drive thread is game canon?
Heck yeah you can, provided the person you threaded it with is cool with that too!

"Uh huh," Lina says, clearly unimpressed -- she darts out of range of his teeth easily, cupping her hands for another spell. "Well, this flying lady happens to be Lina Inverse, and I'm gonna turn you into scrap metal in no time!"

So fire hadn't worked all that well -- Lina's got plenty else in her bag of tricks. This should really be a piece of cake -- he's just a big robot, that's all.

"Freeze arrow!"

She sends a few icy projectiles flying his way, but aimed at his feet -- and once they make contact they'll start spreading, hopefully rooting him to the ground.

DIRECT HIT

Grimlock sounds off an agitated roar as he's rooted to the spot, craning his neck to try and see what's holding him down and then turning his attention back skywards. He belches off more fire in her direction, too dumb to realize that he could easily just free himself using the same method to melt the ice.

"What trick flying lady use!? Flying lady not fight fair!!"

"Guess you're even dumber than you look," Lina chuckles, hovering closer now that she figures it's safe to. Sure, he can shoot fire, but she can dodge that no problem, right? Honestly, she almost feels bad for beating on him. Almost.

He totally started it, okay?

"Listen up, pal, just because you're losing it doesn't mean it's not a fair fight. All it means is that I'm stronger than you." She looks pretty smug at that, grinning with her arms crossed over her chest. "So you can roll over and admit defeat now...or I can punish you even more."

"WHAT???" Grimlock exclaims, downright furious, optics narrowing to a deadly focus. "NO ONE stronger than me Grimlock! Me Grimlock KING!!!"

He lets out another hideous roar and a burst of flame. With the shattering of ice he wrenches viciously in place, the screeching of metal ringing out as he transforms into robot mode and lunges directly at Lina, slashing at her with his ridiculously oversized flaming sword.

"It can turn into a robot?" Lina wails in alarm as he comes flying right at her -- he catches her off guard and she dodges the blow last minute, though it's a little too close for comfort. She can feel the heat of his blade scorching at her as she whirls away midair, singing her cape.

"Hey! Watch the costume, will you, jerk?! This thing cost money!"

Okay, so he's stronger than she gave him credit for, and he can turn into a regular, humanoid robot, and he's got a sword...but robots have weaknesses, don't they? Lina knows just the thing.

"All right, pal, you wanna play rough? Fine! Dig volt!"

A ball of light glimmers in Lina's palm again, but this time when she flings her arm forward it crackles with electricity -- bolts of lightning streak out from the spell, shooting straight for Grimlock.
