Establishing CR that already exists before the game starts is super important and also super fun so LETS DO IT

here is how to CR meme

Three feet of big-headed, big-eared gray alien. CONDOR problem and UCLA student. Necromancer. (It's legal where she comes from, okay.) Magitechnician and actual genius. She probably hates you.
YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: Her 'arrival' was very possibly in the news, albeit in heavily edited form!
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: It took several heroes to put Nivata down for the count when she first arrived, and she sent a couple of them to the hospital. WERE THEY YOU? She also got 'interviewed' by CONDOR and the Enclave and probably other people I can't think of right now. Alpha Force?
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: Nivata would like friends, but will accept enemies. I would like her to be - however reluctantly - involved in the "techie" quadrant of Capital H. (Sometimes she patents and sells little bits of asura technology to pay the bills.) Anybody near UCLA is also invited to know her. TRIDENT may well be or become interested in her as well, because that's the kind of horrible person I am!
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: I'm pretty good to go. I doubt romance will be an issue, just because cranky asura, but I'm not diametrically opposed to it.
ANYTHING ELSE: If it comes up, PLEASE let me know what level of grossness you are uncomfortable reading. I can mark it in any logs or so forth as well! It was kind of an issue the last time I played around with undeath? ...So yeah. It shouldn't come up nearly as much this time because of the difference in character tone, but I want to be prepared. <3

That probably won't be necessary, though Nivata can freak someone out just on accident. XD!! From what I remember, actual dead people ghosts were not featured on Danny's show a whole lot...

More than you'd think. Not all of them were, but I do have a general list of the ghosts that were most likely human at one point that I haven't put up yet, if you want one.

I think this one may have been an adults-only venture, unfortunately. :( Somebody who controls these isn't anything anybody wants a teen to mess around with.

...On the other hand, I'm absolutely sure that video of the fight made its way around superhero circles, because of the shock value if nothing else.

(I love GW2 and I love the Asura and Nivata sounds fantastic)

is Nivata for sure in the Enclave, or at least associated with them to some degree? because if so, I can see her and Miriel getting along pretty well. Miriel is also a genius magic user with a scientific and intellectual outlook on life, and she would LOVE to hear everything Nivata has to say about necromancy. Miriel can't do necromancy herself, since she hasn't had access to it in spellbooks or anything, but she finds it utterly fascinating and not really that objectionable. Miriel would also really like to hear about the Asura and their technology; Asura culture will basically be like a genius fantasy for Miriel, lmao

awesome, though! magic science friends rule. i might actually go ahead and throw Miriel at Nivata's post on the Watch, though just as a note, Miriel will have asked Nivata to refer to her as "Gnosis" in public, not-really-normal-citizens spaces such as the Watch. Miriel keeps her wizard life and her scientist life very separate and does not want them to mix beyond the people she chooses to know about both.

If you want to be part of the krewe Nivata's on, that's fine with me! I think their info is in her app, but it boils down to "find resources without people on it to claim for the Pact, 'cause we're too busy for the Mist Wars, jeez." ...They, uh. They put 'asura' in for 'people' because why wouldn't they, amirite?

that actually sounds really good, since i was thinking about having her do gate maintenance or something and then get into a STARTLING TRANS-DIMENSIONAL GATE ACCIDENT. "jumped into the gate to find Nivata and to gather whatever resources available" works even better. 8) (thanks for the offer!)

yeah! i think i worded it badly in the last post, so: she does act as a scientist in the realm of magic; she researches it intensely just as she does her work, but she wants to keep her identities separate. it's mostly because she doesn't want her career to be compromised in some way, but she also doesn't want to have to conjure coffee for her colleagues every morning. magic is much more Serious than that.

Nivata may or may not have gotten into an argument with the krewe leader about the validity of her coordinates. She maaaaaay have gone through to prove a point.
...She is not entirely sure what happened to the supplies needed to make a gate BACK. They were supposed to come with her, and either they didn't or CONDOR has them. (Nivata's relationship with CONDOR is rife with things like "plz don't raise any undead thas illegal here" and "no, we're not convinced you aren't part of an invasion force.")

MYSTERY OF THE GATE CONSTRUCTION SUPPLIES....Kippat will be bringing her own (given that she is accepted when i finish her app, etc), but depending on what happens when she arrives, they might get unfortunately confiscated. she will be royally pissed off because NOW SHE'S STUCK HERE TOO. and now more krewemates will come looking for them and it really will be an invasion just like CONDOR feared. thanks CONDOR

Nivata is going to be so hella furious, it will be great. :D She will totally have a meltdown. What do you MEAN you don't know what happened to your gate supplies, either?! I don't know what happened to MINE! The chances of two transfers going missing, when organic living material went through unscrambled, is infinitesimal! WHO DO I HAVE TO MURDER TO GET OFF THIS STUPID PLANET!!!

Miriel would have to look at Nivata's patents in detail and see which would work best for the company while also not giving away her own magic life, but that is actually a real possibility.

yessss :D Nivata is basically Nivata, everywhere, so it's not hard to find her stuff. Understandably, she is fail at the secret identity thing.

(was it actually several weeks before the current in-game date, or more time than that? i'm not quite sure what to put in my app in regards to that, but either way i can explain the krewe not going in after her with "ALL OF OUR EQUIPMENT EXPLODED")

yeah like unless you're Order of Whispers or something, there's not much need for a secret identity in Tyria. THINGS ARE MORE COMPLICATED HERE NIVATA. PEOPLE WILL ASK YOU TO SUMMON FOOD FOR THEM. ITS VERY ANNOYING

Nivata has actually been here a white! She arrived a little after Legion did. CONDOR had to be convinced that she wasn't part of an invasion force, or evil, or well okay she did kill people for her minions but they were totally Separatists and/or bandits and/or in the way. ...It took a little while.
Don't worry about the timing too much, though! There could be temporal fluxes, or the krewe leader could be hella persnickety (Nivata is not actually a hella genius in comparison with other asura and also she hates this krewe and wants to go back to working on undead) or EVERYTHING EXPLODED or any number of other delays!

nivata can sure summon SOMETHING made of meat for them if they INSIST... (Miriel obviously needs to learn the fine art of saying no via smacking people in the face with a shadow fiend.)
