KATNISS "MOCKINGJAY" EVERDEEN
A political refugee sent back from the future for safe keeping. She is full of PTSD from being forced into multiple fights to the death and also from having her entire home burned to the ground/her good friend stolen by the evil government. She is antisocial and terse, but also strong and full of passion. She shoots arrows real good and can fly with technological wings she brought back from the future.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You are a part of the Trailblazers, mostly, because she has been in their membership for the 5 months she's been in the past. Besides that she has been moderately effective at being a super hero. She is sort of preoccupied from giving it her all, though. You may also know her if you are part of CONDOR because she is in their care while she is in the past due to alliances with the future (? comics). You may also know her if you are from the same future timeline she is.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: Basically the same stuff as stated previously, but MOSTLY the Trailblazers thing. She's been living in the shared dorms for five months.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: I'm sort of winging it with Katniss, so I'm pretty much up for anything, though I would really like some awkward teenagering with the other Trailblazers. Katniss is SO difficult, my god.
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Nothing, really.
ANYTHING ELSE: Katniss is hilariously shit as cellphones, computers, and texting, because despite being from the future she was from the POOR future and had no access to such things. Also she finds really lavish living sort of offensive, because a lot of modern stuff is sort of reminiscent of the Capitol of her future.

CELESTIA
Queen of Equestria, a hidden island in the Pacific, by token of being its most wise and talented sorceress. Celestia carries the Sun Medallion, which grants her sun powers and immortality, and can do magic that's only powerful if she has friends with her. She is so big on friendship. She is kind of condescending about friendship. She is not a horse, but she sometimes rides a shining white horse into battle. It can fly, although she can't. She doesn't have a superhero codename for the same kind of reasons that Thor doesn't get called anything except Thor – where she comes from she is already an important public figure and everybody knows she can generate sun blasts and cast spells. She briefly cultivated a civilian identity when she first came to the US in the 60s but abandoned it soon after.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: you are aware of superheroes even a bit. Celestia has been a high profile superhero since the 1960s, and while she hasn't been consistently in action for all of those 50 years she has been for most of them. You can buy merchandise with her on. Some people probably straight up collect merchandise with just her on.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: Anybody who's been doing the superhero thing for a while is game for being on speaking terms with Celestia. Same for CONDOR agents who might liase with Alpha Force. She's very friendly, if in the kind of way where she calls people 'child' a lot. If anything she can be sort of inappropriately familiar with people.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: I have nothing specific planned for Celestia! Mostly I would just really like the empty spots on Alpha Force filled – there are three potential vacancies on the team after the mysterious and shocking disappearance of Druid, Fissure and Zoom, but if nobody apps into those Celestia will be the sole remaining member of the team, which would probably shake her pretty bad. Either way Alpha Force is going to be seeking in-game to gather up some new members in the absence of the ones who've disappeared, and anybody on Alpha Force is going to wind up knowing Celestia. Alpha Force aside I'd kind of like it if she could force some people to write her letters about what they are learning about themselves. Celestia loves that shit

CHARACTER NAME/ALIAS IF APPLICABLE Flora Poste, socialite and busybody nuisance
YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: Flora Poste is ON THE INTERNET. She has vague ambitions to start her own online advice blog but, lmao, that's work. She's more of a Twitter aficionado, and she definitely comments on other peoples' blogs a lot. She is probably known as associated with CONDOR & superheroes (especially the playboy millionaire sort who need parties organized), although I am not sure to what extent it's known just HOW close she is (the answer is Very).
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: CONDOR people will almost certainly know Flora; she noses in on human resource-y type stuff. She probably has some sort of clearance, given she is involved with Charles Fairford & his helicopter. It's likely other superheroes have heard of her horrible relatives (whom she made actually register). The Starkadders are............around, certainly. Nobody on earth would want to app them except for like maybe three of us, but even so, I'm probably going to leave things vague. Their name should at least inspire a noncommittal "ah" of recognition.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: Silliness mostly. Personal life interfering. Getting into trouble and being very reasonable about it. Anything super-duper serious, Flora would probably just ruin--which, I mean, if you're up for that then why not.
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: As I said, anything really serious!
ANYTHING ELSE: Flora's entire schtick in her canon is the application of logic to genre tropes. :)

VANESSA GOLDPAW
Vanessa also doesn't have an alias because she's a public figure and not a superhero oops! She's in charge of a generic superhero universe tech company, Goldpaw Technologies, which is one of the most successful in this universe, although it tends to deal mostly with gadgets rather than weapons and stuff – at least, so far, anyway. Its logo is a pawprint and there's a lot of stylised leopard print in its imagery, mainly because Vanessa Goldpaw herself is an anthropomorphic leopard. Publicly, the story is that she got trapped in this shape after a science accident at the company she worked for before she set out to do her own thing. Only she knows the truth: she actually gained shapeshifting abilities, but decided to use them to live the dream of being an anthropomorphic fucking leopard on account of how she is a god damn furry.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You're interested in the stuff her company does, or you're interested in furries.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: You're another notable ~science genius~, or you work for her company.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: Vanessa's going to found (and fund) her own superhero team fairly shortly after the game starts, partially because she thinks it would be cool and fun and partially because she thinks it would be good for her brand. She's been researching various solo heroes for a while, looking for ones who are fairly good at what they're doing but not already terrifically high profile, so if your character fits the bill and you'd like her to try to scout them – successfully or unsuccessfully – then let me know!
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Again, nothing particular. Vanessa's good for p much anything.
ANYTHING ELSE: this character started out as a joke about furries but now i care about her. i'm very sorry

PLAID JACK CLARITY
Jack was first introduced to wizardly when he accidentally transformed one of his roomate buddies into a demon by being careless with an ancient magical tome. He used said tome to learn magic in the hopes of restoring her human body, but he only really came into his true power as a mage when he ended up being the sole survivor of a small magical apocalypse - a more ancient, unscrupulous mage tricked a large number of promising young practitioners into attuning themself to his astral plane pocket dimension, which he eventually used to suck all their souls out to add to his own power. Jack was saved by his magical tome, but subsequently killed by the previously mentioned, now totally OP evil wizard. Thankfully, this just resulted in Jack spiritually ascending and becoming a full blown wizard, his magical totem ending up being the pattern of "plaid and intersecting lines." He used this gimmick to banish the evil wizard to several different hell dimensions, and in doing so, freed the souls of the young wizards, but unfortunately was unable to do anything but let them carry on to the afterlife.

Needless to say, he has some issues pertaining to seeing almost an entire generation of wizards wiped out at once. Also about the fact that he ended up having to banish his demon friend to another dimension a swell, once she turned evil. Basically Jack's life is just a lot of banishing people to other places, and at this point his feats have resulted in him becoming the most recent Sorcerer Supreme, even though leadership has never really been his bag and he is more inclined to just be buddy buddy with everyone.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You're part of the Enclave, because he is their leader. If you do any sort of magic, you also probably know him. If you are into demons, or are a demon, you may have also heard of him, because he is considered one of the resident magical experts when it comes to the infernal. Basically, if you have any foot in the magical, there is a good chance you have heard of this dude in recent years.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: If you are a wizard, especially part of the Enclave. Also, Jack does magic shows for children in his spare time, in order to instill a sense of wonder into the modern world. He is a pretty chill guy so he really isn't hard to be on good terms with.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: Jack is going to be actively looking for an apprentice in the near future, for someone he can train up to be the new Sorcerer Supreme because it isn't really his bag. He has a lot of feelings about young mages though so he could have been a teacher to many people.
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Nothing really, at the moment.
ANYTHING ELSE: His magic totem is plaid, and this results in the magical impression that his plaid shirt is impossibly long and endless and weird shit like that. Also his BFF is his magical tome named Tomie, who turned out to be sentient. Unfortunately Jack is the only one who can hear Tomie speak, so he spends a lot of time talking to his book.

METABEE "BRONZE BEETLE"
A prototype weapon designed by the Medabot Corporation and under CONDOR supervision, Metabee is a small robot specializing in mid-long range combat and is armed with lasers and missiles. He is pretty stubborn and hot headed, has problems with authority, and thinks he is the greatest invention since sliced bread. He doesn't have a superhero costume but will probably be trying to get one to look cooler. He is not CONDOR's favorite Medabot. He is a huge dork.
YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You are a member of the Trailblazers, an agent of CONDOR (especially in R&D stuff), an employee of the Medabots Corporation, or anyone who has connections to the super high tech scientific community. He hasn't been in the superhero circuit long so he doesn't have much notoriety as far as the media is concerned, but is getting more attention since joining up with the Trailblazers.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: You are with the Trailblazers, since he has been living with the team for a few months. any CONDOR liaisons with the team and CONDOR scientists related to the Medabot Project would know him better. Any scientists who worked on the project and fellow Medabots would know him really well.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: No specific plans here, still trying to get my feet under me and Metabee is sort of my test. I am anticipating plenty of interactions with fellow Trailblazers though. CONDOR is still determining if Medabots are sentient so they would probably push different people and team mates to interact with Metabee and then report on what happened.
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Nothing off the top of my head.
ANYTHING ELSE: Metabee's alias doesn't really serve any purpose, since he doesn't really have a secret identity, he just thought it sounded cool. Probably just the media and general population would use it. For official business with he would probably be referred to by his project code, KBT-1.

SOLLUX CAPTOR "PROJECT GEMINI"
Sollux is a teenaged troll, and a very powerful psionic. In an effort to escape the tyranny of his home planet, he and a bunch of other trolls tried to escape to Earth together, but unfortunately things got fucked up and they were separated. Sollux crash landed in the ocean, and was capture by TRIDENT before anyone else even knew of his arrival. He's spent the last year in their clutches being rigorously experimented on and tortured, and is very messed up as a result. After he escaped, CONDOR took him in and helped to remove all of the mechanical implants they could, and at game start he will just be being moved to the Trailblazer dorms instead of being kept in a top secret cell.

He's traumatized as all fuck, barely speaks English, and has an irrational suspicion and hatred of humans. He's going to be mucking up the Trailblazer dorms real good. The only reason he is there is because Karkat lives there, and Karkat is one of the few people that actually speaks Alternian, and basically the only person he trusts. He's not an official registered Trailblazer or anything, TO BE CLEAR.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: If you're a CONDOR person involved in his rehabilitation, if you're a troll that may have known him on Alternia or during the escape, a TRIDENT person involved in his experimentation, or one of the Trailblazers that are being told "oh btw this unhinged alien is your new roomate, have fun."
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: Any of the above, but probably only other troll escapees or people from Alternia will know him in any context that isn't him being a fucked up medical patient.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: Sollux has a lot of issues to work through, and is going to be trying to learn English and adapt to the Earthly way of life. He has a lot of development ahead of him.
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Nothing really!
ANYTHING ELSE: Sollux is super antisocial at the moment, but I am not! I am all about finding ways to force him out of his shell.

NO SUPERHERO CODENAME AGAIN but religious tradition refers to him among other things as 'the Awakener' and if it was up to him he would call himself something like REAPHOOK or IRONCLAW
Karkat is the heir of the Sufferer, essentially Troll Jesus, and as such is a political refugee from the tyrannical Alternian Empire. He has been in CONDOR custody since he was delivered to Earth by , because they don't want to wheel him out to lead their revolution while he is still a stubby teen, and they feel Earth is safer than space. CONDOR stuck Karkat with the West Coast Trailblazers because troll kids don't deal well with adults. Due to taking personal offence at the fact that he is surrounded by people with superpowers or INTENSE! combat abilities, Karkat has been training very hard since he's been with the Trailblazers, but he's still only a trainee rather than an active member.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You are a troll peace cultist (unlikely). LA denizens may have noticed him around if Alternians are a thing they notice, on account of they are not super common, but for the most part Karkat actively avoids other trolls because he's worried about how they'll react to his blood colour, which is showing in his irises by now.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: You are one of the trolls who escaped with him, or a CONDOR agent who's been involved in dealing with him, or are a member of the West Coast Trailblazers – in which case Karkat lives in the dorms at your base, eating really ill advised food combinations that he seems to think taste good, watching romance films on Netflix in an effort to "understand Earth culture", and generally being kind of rude despite the fact that he most likely super cares about a whole bunch of you guys by now.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: I really want Karkat to have some ill advised crushes on people, whether that's crushes to develop in the future or crushes he already has. If you are open to this being a thing please let me know. I don't care if it's unrequited, I'm not looking for actual ships here (although I'm not ruling that out, either), I just want to assume he has at least a couple of stupid crushes on his sort-of-teammates.
Also, I like to imagine that Karkat gets kidnapped slightly more than is average by, for example, people who want to lure the Trailblazers into some kind of trap, because being a small space alien with no powers makes him both conspicuous and easy to manhandle.
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Nope!
ANYTHING ELSE: Having been on Earth for a year, speaking almost exclusively to people who don't speak Alternian, Karkat's English is pretty decent by now, but it's not perfect, and there are still words he doesn't understand. It probably took a while for it to get to this point, though, so anybody who's known him since he got there will remember him being completely fucking awful at it, and furious about how awful at it he was, for months.

SUN WUKONG
A superpowered monkey that fucked up one of the tiers of Heaven back in China and got stuck beneath Buddha's hand for thousands of years. He has no idea how to function normally in this modern society and mostly just lingers around doing vaguely heroic things because of a magical headband he was tricked into wearing.
YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You have contacts in Heaven/with gods. He caused a PRETTY big commotion back in the day, so there's still some mention of him as "that rascally monkey who crashed the peach party" being spoken about in some circles.
Also, his weapon, the Ruyi Jingu Bang, used to be a holy pillar holding up the ocean, so characters interested in archaic weapons may have heard of him.
Also there's probably some conspiracy blogs on him. Insert IKEA MONKEY joke here.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: You have dealt with supernatural enemies, since that's the one's he's the most equipped to fight. If you met him, he would have probably had made fun of you for a bit before flying off. Peeps in CONDOR may also know him due to a previous containment attempt that...did not go well.
Also you may have met a smelly old zookeeper. That's him.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: RECRUIT FOR ALPHA FORCE RECRUIT FOR ALPHA FORCE RECRUIT FOR ALPHA FORCE PLOT PLEASE. Also if there's a Lawful Good willing to try to instill better morals in him, that would be hilarious.
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Not sure if anyone would even CONSIDER romancing a monkey but...no.
ANYTHING ELSE: I apologize for the occasional toilet humor. Also, he doesn't understand guns or computers.

If you want Karkat can have a stupid unrequited crush on Katniss, she has a history of that sort of thing.

JUNPEI "IGNITION" IORI
The Trailblazers' resident ascended fanboy. Or one of them, perhaps. He's from a 'normal' (if … unpleasant) home, and has been fascinated by superheroes since he was a kid. If you're a big name in the hero business, he's likely followed your activities at some point.
He's a cocky, silly goofball, though one with a lot of hidden insecurities, but he does at least know when to be serious on missions.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF:
If you keep an eye on the up and coming superheroes, there's an off chance you might've spotted his codename: he's very new to the business, but he doesn't shy away from the limelight if he gets the chance. He just hasn't… had many chances yet. If you're in any way connected with the Trailblazers, too.
As far as his civilian life goes, he's pretty social around school, if that's even a thing that's relevant here (that's a point, what kind of schooling do these kids get?), and he plays MMOs: anyone up for Innocent Sin Online?
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: Mostly, if you're in the Trailblazers: he's been with the team for a few months. He lives at the dorms because a) from out of town b) BAAAAD home life. If you're a Trailblazer girl, he has probably dropped some kind of cheesy flirty line in your direction… don't worry, though, that's as far as he'll take it. Also, he was rescued by a super when he first tried to do the hero thing himself, who talked him into registering: who is this mysterious person? Any of you?
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: I haven't really got any set plans for this boy. Just following my nose. Perhaps something that'll shake his view on what he's gotten himself into, but that's for the future...
THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: I can't think of anything yet.
ANYTHING ELSE: He's a baseball fiend! He'd have joined a team at school if he thought he could get away with it. Anyone for a game? He's also likely to propose other chances to be social where he can.
Also, apologies for his cheeseball-ness. And possibly the state of the HQ kitchens on occasion.

Katniss is pretty off put by the fact that he's a robot. This is not something she's accustomed to.

And Sun Wukong would not want anything to do with it...until he realizes Celestia is uber powerful and could PROBABLY release him from his headband so he can go home.

I'd make him write letters but he probably can't write.

Also I'm very curious on the idea of them working together, because that might mean CONDOR, Alpha Force and other folks don't bother him because he got permission to roam and do his thing out of it. Or something.

Junpei's probably TRIED to watch the movies Karkat's put on, just out of sheer 'trying to be a bro'. But damn, dude, he can't get his head around it.

CYNTHIA PINE, "FLOURISH"
Cynthia is a young woman who decided she wanted to become a superhero after her superhero mother MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED while on a mission. She's incredibly enthusiastic about being a superhero, and she already has all her cool moves and stylish catchphrases planned out. However, she's only a trainee with the West Coast Trailblazers, and she has very little field experience. Cynthia is friendly, positive, and energetic. She is also kind of ridiculous and often a bit clueless about things.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You are a member of the Trailblazers, or are someone who comes into their building every so often (like CONDOR people or something). Also, if you personally knew her mother, Sumia, before she MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED, you'd likely at least know of Cynthia. Cynthia doesn't have much of her own reputation yet, though.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: You are a member of the Trailblazers (she's lived in the dorms for maybe two months), you are someone who comes into contact with the Trailblazers in their building, or you were a friend of Sumia's.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: In terms of like CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, I do want Cynthia to grow up more eventually, so I'd love for her to have SOMETHING LIKE...a misguided ridiculous rivalry with someone where at some point maybe they both get to learn more about each other and themselves and perhaps that comes with a reconsideration of their relationship. Like a ridiculous rivalry that is not going to be the exact same "I HATE YOU" forever, or something (idk if that's too specific? that is just something I have been bouncing around in my head). OTHER THAN THAT THOUGH there are not many things I have in mind, I'm really open to anything!

ANYTHING ELSE: She's really keen on pegasi. She draws them and tapes printed pictures of them onto her walls. She's got a large pegasus stuffed animal. (someone should be her pegasus buddy)

Excuse this dork while he fanboys out for a minute. THIS is the guy who collected her merchandise, right here. Well, along with any Alpha Force bits he could pick up and hide under his bed.

Metabee meanwhile probably thinks she is pretty cool by nature of being from the future and one of the few Trailblazers who seems to know what she is doing. He has a tendency to look up to people he deems really intense and who are pretty powerful, so he has probably been making some questionable attempts to get on her good side.
