A preteen boy with shapeshifting powers he's not mature enough to have and a ridiculous hero complex. Seems to have actually convinced himself that it makes sense for him to pretend to literally be six different adult aliens when he's doing hero things, let's see how long that lasts why don't we.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You are unlikely to have heard of Ben Tennyson, he's some kid who's never really done anything noteworthy.

You may however have heard of the aliens that kept showing up all over the U.S. last summer, mostly seeming to intend to help people, and which have more recently been appearing in Los Angeles.

YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: You may know Ben if you are in elementary school or spend a lot of time near or in elementary schools, or if you tend to hang out around parks, comic book stores, or arcades.

You may know one or more of his alter egos if you are involved in superhero things (whether as a hero, villain, victim, whatever), mostly B- or C-list type stuff.

PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: Right now I'm just looking for Ben to generally form more connections in LA - friends, allies, enemies whatever. He does seem to be some kind of magnet for INTENSE RIVALRIES, so that may be a thing at some point.

Eventually he is, of course, going to be exposed as all the same person/an eleven-year-old (maybe at the same time, maybe not). Also he's probably gonna get temporarily bodyjacked by a space ghost at some point, so probably at least one other person is gonna get dragged into that mess.

THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Ben is eleven so romance is. Yeah. Probably not. He may, however, get awful crushes occasionally.

ANYTHING ELSE: Occasionally his powers heck up and he turns into the wrong thing, which ideally should be happening more than it has so far.

KATNISS EVERDEEN / MOCKINGJAY
The girl from the future, Katniss Everdeen was sent back in time to protect her from the dystopian overlords of Panem, the world of tomorrow. She has mechanical wings and is really good with her super tech energy bow. She's a member of the Trailblazers, but not an especially enthusiastic one. She is bitter and stubborn and hard to get to know unless you are part of a circle she trusts. She is buddies with almost all of the Trailblazers, though, and will protect them.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: If you keep track of registered hero news, specifically the Trailblazers. She has a pretty notable media image so a lot of people know her, even if she is fairly closed off on a personal level.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: You're a Trailblazer, mostly.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: She is mostly just soldiering on. I tend to get her involved in most of the straight up superheroing type plot because she's good for that. She now has a buddy from the future in the form of Finnick, which has given her reason to believe that the Capitol may send people back to try to kill her. She is not sure how much she cares anymore.

Totally innocent administrative assistant with no secret plans whatsoever. Russian superspy/assassin trained from childhood, recently escaped from her former handlers and gone freelance mercenary. Currently laying low, scoping out targets, taking jobs where she can find them.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: If you're in the espionage community (TRIDENT, CONDOR, whatever), you may have heard of the Black Widow, but you probably won't know her name or face. She's put out feelers through certain channels for anyone needing someone assassinated or information illegally acquired, so if you're in that sort of market, it's available.

YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: If you've run into her on a former mission - most likely only CONDOR agents, but if we can find a plausible scenario, I'm all for other people having run into her while she was working for the Red Room.
You may know her cover ID (Natalie Rushman, administrative assistant), who has been in and around LA in the past few months. She lives in an apartment building with her slightly weird boyfriend, she goes on runs in the park, she works in an office downtown, she likes coffee shops.

PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: If your character is the kind of person to hire an assassin or someone to illegally retrieve information or objects (she won't rob a bank for you, but she will break into a lab to steal a weapon or scientific samples or whatever), then please, please hire her. It'll be great.

She already has one mission she's preparing for, and things will start happening with that... as soon as I am back from hiatus.

SOLLUX CAPTOR / GEMINI
Sollux is a troll that escaped to earth in the hope of avoiding being enslaved by the alternian empress, but instead ended up being captured and experimented on by TRIDENT for a whole goddamn year. He managed to escape a few months ago, and he is still recovering. At first he was under CONDOR's care, but their insistance on restricting Sollux's psionic powers to keep him from harming the local population caused him to begin to resent the human government until the point that he got his inhibiting collar removed and peaced the fucked out to live with the Decepticons.

He's presently allied with the alien robots, though he isn't quite aware of how evil Megatron can be. He's not really a hero and not really a villain - he's mostly just trying to survive on Earth, and is planning revenge against TRIDENT whatever the cost.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: If you are part of CONDOR or TRIDENT you may have been involved in his "care"...if you are from Alternia you may recognize him from some places on the internet, or the escape plan.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: Unless you are a troll, the only way to have met him is to have met him, generally.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: No specific plans - like I said, he's mostly just trying to hold on at this point. His mental illness has improved a bit since freeing himself from CONDOR but overall he's still a pretty traumatized and messed up kid.

A teenaged speedster currently living on the streets of L.A. trying to find a way to feed his crazy metabolism without resorting to thievery (he usually resorts to thievery). He's originally from New York, and has spent time with TRIDENT which he tries not to think about. He's currently living in a abandoned warehouse with Araña and Matilda. He's also the Scarlet Witch's MAGICAL SON but he doesn't know that yet, or know that he looks identical to Quicksilver, his Uncle.
YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: You follow New York hero news. He was involved in blowing up his school and was arrested by Captain Victory and Nomad (Bucky at the time) and detained. He thing was kidnapped by TRIDENT, so you might know him if your character was in TRIDENT or was involved in a TRIDENT breakout. If you know Araña you will know of Tommy since they are attached at the hip! It's also recently come out that Tommy is the Scarlet Witch's magical son, so if you know Wanda you probably know that she's got a Speedster for a son somewhere in LA (he looks pretty identical to Pietro).
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: ABOVE and he does vigilante and courier work in LA at the moment, so you might run into him on the streets as he's delivering or beating down bad guys! You also might've known him if you were in juvie in New York.
PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: At the moment I'm not entirely sure what Tommy's plans are. It's going to be revealed to him that he's Wanda's son and he's going to deny it a HELL OF A LOT. He's got a family in Aña and Matilda at the moment (which is super cute) and is just blathering around. I'd like to explore romance stuff with him as he's open to it and will hit on most things with a pretty face, and also getting him a TEAM. He won't register because he's a CRIMINAALLL wanted for escaping juvie. I'm all for rivalries!

Newt Geiszler is a smartass with far too many doctorates for someone his age and still dreams to one day become a rockstar even though he's really bad at both singing and playing guitar. He loves old Japanese kaiju movies and has a keen/creepy interest in aliens, becoming the worlds first self-proclaimed Xenobiologist. He has the mental age of a prepubescent boy and probably shouldn't be allowed the clearance access levels he's got.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: Newt is a celebrity in the scientific world, and is one of the youngest people to ever be accepted into MIT (and went on to get six fucking doctorates, collecting that shit like pokemon) as well as a leading authority on Xenobiology and a pioneer in artifical tissue replication and cybernetic prosthetics research. He disappeared off the science radar when he had a breakdown and went to Japan for four years, but now is back, working with Mintaka Industries in their Cybernetics division. Newt was involved with CONDOR as their Xenobiology consult, and was involved in a LOT of shady autopsies and research with Alternians specifically, and is the world expert (who is a human at least) on the race. He also runs a clinic every day between 3-5 for anyone to come visit with no questions asked, aimed toward alien healthcare and cybernetic maintenance, so if you are sick or need a tune up, you have probably heard of Newt's clinic.
YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: If you went to MIT! He went there himself and also taught there for a fair few years, being a lot younger than the students half the time. You may know him too if you were in CONDOR or were around during the first Alternian invasion, as Newt was a key figure in a lot of the research into how the Alternians ticked and still remains a consult for CONDOR on Xenobiology (so if you're in CONDOR, you'll probably have spoken to or at least heard of him). If you work for Mintaka Industries, Newt is your obnoxious co-worker. Have fun with that. Outside of work, you might bump into Newt in a few places--mostly in the comic book store manga section where he constantly complains about the fact the english translations are so far behind the Japanese publishing--or in the Asian supermarket as he's a full on weeaboo and after living in Japan, tends to eat a lot of Asian cuisine and actually lives in China Town. He also posts regularly on a few forums (Godzilla fan-sites and Alien discussion boards) and hangs around a tattoo shop downtown in his free-time sometimes where one of his Japanese artists moved to.

PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: Anything!! Newt needs more friends and rivalries, and generally more alien interactions. If you're an alien HE WANTS TO KNOW YOUR NAME. He's not a superhero and has zero powers, so being friends with them would be like the best close second. But yeah he doesn't know many people in LA yet, so it would be great if i could expand his friendships :3

PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: Not much; she's working for Vanessa Goldpaw at the moment, and will probably change alliances a few times, but other than that I'm not sure. Also the more chances she has to think she's going to end up back in space jail, the better.

YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: If you are really into house parties with lots of illegal activities going on (underage drinking, drugs, the works), you have almost definitely met Maxxie or seen him bouncing through. He actually hosts parties at his house so you may have even been in his kitchen without knowing it since he doesn't know at least 30% of his guests at any given time. If you are a frequent attendee of these house parties and you are also a dude who is into dudes you also may have hooked up with him at some point. If you are a trailblazer you may also have met him via that. He isn't very private about his civilian identity.

Criminal mastermind with a massive web of connections and lieutenants, doing all sorts of shady crime, sometimes for hire. Also has a secret registered hero identity as:

Irene Adler/Titian
Gallery owner, registered but retired hero with the ability to paint the future that she doesn't use anymore, still a friendly presence on the Watch and around the city.

YOU MAY HAVE HEARD OF THIS CHARACTER IF: Moriarty you probably have heard of, as the Chessmaster if not under her real name, and definitely if you are a big player on either the good or bad side of things (and TRIDENT may know "he" is among them). Assumed male and powered, and responsible for massive amounts of crimes over the last dozen years.

You may have heard of Irene's gallery in the area, or if you pay a lot of attention to Renaissance painting restorers for some reason; if you paid a lot of attention to low-level superhero teams in New York between 9 and 5 years ago; or if you spent a lot of time on the Watch the past eighteen months or so, since she still pops up there now and again.

YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: As Moriarty... you don't, unless you're part of her organization and pretend damn high up and trusted. But you may have spoken to her lieutenant posing as Moriarty, or spoken to her via text/email, if you've wanted to hire him to do some crime, are TRIDENT, or are just a bad guy in the area (or in New York before the last year and a half).

If you were in New York between nine years ago and a year and a half ago, you may have run into Irene there; she was a D-level superhero who made a lot of friends in the community. Otherwise, you may have spoken to her on the Watch, or if you hang out in galleries and have found hers, she's probably struck up a conversation.

PLANS & IDEAS FOR THIS CHARACTER: So much crime to be done. She both gets hired and does some hiring, and I'm up for playing with either end. Murders and assassinations, important thefts, kidnapping, information gathering, blackmail, tons of things I am too tired to think of right now, she'll do it all if the job is interesting and the pay is right. She'll also bankroll other people doing interesting or important jobs, so if you play a villain, criminal, or morally-grey vigilante and want to work out them either having been or ending up on her payroll/part of her organization, that's an option.

Irene has friends around, and actively goes out of her way to make friends with people who might give her useful information if she's around them. So either working out pre-established familiarity or making new friends with people in the area would be cool too. She's also headstrong and blunt, so negative CR would be fun too.

And this being Moriarty, I would really love for her to have one or a couple of people to get really obsessive over. This can be platonic or romantic/sexual, but people with massive intellect, particularly interesting powers, or who are just somehow interesting and not boring, even by superhero standards could all ping her radar that way. Heroes and morally strong vigilantes especially interesting (anyone want to be her Sherlock?), but other shady or outright evil people would be welcome too. She's not going to be easy on anyone she's that interested in, so let's talk this out if you're interested, but it could be some fun CR.

THINGS YOU'D PREFER TO AVOID: Anyone discovered she's Moriarty right away. Other than that I am basically game for anything.

Also if you randomly follow the news from the Bay Area, you might've noticed an article about a freak electric fault at an area private school that severely electrocuted one of the students, back around Thanksgiving. He was one of the unidentified bystanders who made a comment about how it was "totally crazy, just happened out of nowhere, I have no idea whatsoever how it happened!"

YOU MAY KNOW THIS CHARACTER IF: You frequent the two most popular/well-kept superhero wikis - one for official CONDOR-sponsored heroes and one for known vigilantes. They're linked sites though. Also their related forums (which are pretty large). Also he's on some Tabletop gaming and comics forums, under the same handle (chaosmage666). Or if you went to a certain Bay Area private school in the past four years. Or did any tabletop at the games/comics stores nearby.

OR, alternately, if you do tabletopping or buy comics in LA the last couple months, he's been working at a comics/gaming shop.

For several years in the late 90s it was fashionable to wear goofy pointy headbands, and for boys to have frosted tips with shitty hair antennae (just like Quicksilver, mom!). As for having heard of Wanda Maximoff, there is pretty much no chance you have unless you're from Transia or are related to her (granted, that's a big pool).

News agencies and other hackers/activists/whatever usually refer to her as "Uplink," but she's never called herself that.
